New Mexicans are total flakes

The people are fucking flakes, don't count on anyone for anything. When i decided to build my house i called several excavators to come out and do some work, at the time i lived 2 hours away from where i was building and i explained to the people that if they couldn't make it to please call me. What do you think happened? I drove for 2 hours and waited and waited and no one showed up. When i finally got a hold of the first guy he tells me he need to go grocery shopping thats why he didn't come

I was so pissed off i told the asshole off. The second guy i called didn't show or bother to call either. when i called him he said he had another job to do, when i asked why he didn't call he told me it he had no obligation to let me know he wasn't coming to do the job then he told me he would be out in a few days to which i told him i had no obligation to hire him and i hung up. Finaly on my 3rd try i got someone to do the job

You might think this is just one incident but its not the same kind of thing happened when i tried to get a contractor to pour my foundation. 4 no shows one total ripoff and then finally someone to do the job. Its not just the construction industry.

When i moved here i had to rent a house and i would call people make appointments and these people wouldn't show up to show the rental property. I got every excuse in the book. Not one had the decency to call me back and say they were not coming.

I decided to sell my car and buy a jeep, this was a mistake. I put an add on craigslist and on autotrader. i started getting calls people would set up appointments and not show up i think 1 in 30 showed. I sold cars back in Miami Florida and i would get at least 4 in 5 show but here no one was showing or calling to cancel. I finally had a US Marine from California call me he was visiting and saw my add he not only showed up he was early and had cash in hand. Go Marines!

This is the way it is here in New Mexico, people are lazy they dont want to work they dont have the decency to call when they are not going to show and if they tell you they will finish in manana. Manana means morning but it doesn't mean it will be tomorrow morning it could be in a few days or even a week

You Sir, are 100% CORRECT!!! We moved here 2.5 years ago from Seattle. Every single thing one needs done you run into people like you described. We recently built a new home with Abrazo Homes, LLC. First, DO NOT BUY A HOME FROM THESE PEOPLE!!! We closed 4.5 months ago and we're STILL trying to get them to fix things wrong with the house that were reported months ago. Example, they didn't protect the floor when the painter had to come back (because he did not read the option sheet that said we paid for white trim and ceilings) and he actually painted the floors! We had to move out for a week so they could rip out appliances, toilets, etc, and replace our floors. We now have a water leak in our concrete slab somewhere....Oh, the fun!

I've had the EXACT same experience with a myriad of contractors. As well as electronics repairs, carpet cleaners, tile/grout cleaners, handymen, retail stores, etc.

If I knew HALF of what New Mexico was like I would have NEVER moved here. I thought traffic congestion and rain was bad in Seattle, hell I'd live in a rain forest if I could before moving here!

People here are 100% fakes. They try to say it's "The manana attitude" - BS, it's the F - YOU! attitude in NM!

Just moved here from California, and unfortunately my Ca drivers license is about to expire. I had a dui in Ca SEVEN YEARS ago, and took care of everything, paid my dues, haven't had a drink in four years.

I go to MVD office to get NM license, they tell me I can't have one unless I put an INTERLOCK DEVICE ON MY CAR FOR A GODDAMN YEAR. A $1000 expense, once a month hassle, and embarrassment all over again for a crime I already paid my debt for in the State it happened. Even worse? If you actually get your dui in NM you only have to have the device for 6 months.

If I had time I would go back to CA and renew there, but I am in a time crunch so I am screwed. Most ridiculous law I have ever heard of.

I couldn’t agree more. I think they need to change the “Welcome to N.M.” sign from “Chlili capitol of the world” to “Hillbilly capital of the world” with the adage “where mediocrity even take too much effort”. There is a reason why N.M. is rated 47/48/49 in the country for education/wealth/jobs. It’s a broke government dependent state. Add to that this new psychotic governor Grisham and you have a recipe for absolute failure. You think it’s broke now? Give this egotistical governor a couple more months and this entire state will have pushed all the educated, productive and motivated people that actually contribute to society out of this State. I will soon be relieving myself on the “Now leaving New Mexico” sign on the way out.

As a veteran having lived and visited northern New Mexico over the last 27 years I have this to say...

The Spanish, and these are not to be confused with Mexicans or other Latino parties, will lie, cheat, steal, embezzle, blow coke, crash cars, rape, sabotage their own family members, plant evidence on the innocent, shoot heroin, will hold other human beings for ransom, abduct children and murder, sue and pillage BUT... They are ALL in church on Sunday.

Somebody needed to wake this blog up and give it some coffee. New Mexico is an anomaly. It is unlike any other place on earth.

If you want to experience pitiful and incomprehensible demoralization and YES, I am using an AA term to describe, New Mexico is a beautiful place that loses its luster on account of the quality of its people.

Don’t believe me? Go to www.riograndesun dot com and read the Police Log. When you’re done there go to KOAT on internet or television and watch the daily news. One will see first hand that NM’s police are brutal, dishonest and are murderers. You’re going to need a clip board, paper snd pen and I want you to keep score of the following:

Police related shootings and murders
Stories of corrupt politicians within NM infrastructure
Stories that cover hit and runs; drug overdoses; chain murders of whole families found dead within their homes; murder spree’s at the hands of people with rap sheets(and they ALL have rap sheets), that were released from jail that murdered again and they wonder why.

Please, by all means, if you feel like I am leading anyone astray I have a challenge for you.

Move there. But before you do you need to be of proper etiquette within your own house. Which means that you need to be of an I.Q. over 40. Otherwise you’re in the same boat with those listed above and never gradumated turd grate anyway.
