I created this blog to inform people of what to expect when they visit New Mexico and the mentality of the people in this state. New Mexico has some beautiful places to live but having to deal with all the lazy stupid people that live here will drive you insane.
The schools here suck they have been rated as some of the worst in the country, they are over run with gang bangers and illiterate kids.
The crime rate here is horrible for a state with such a small population. Every single day i turn on the news to see some one has been murdered. Whole neighborhoods are vandalized car windows broken, tires slashed. Meth labs are every where there are several busts every week. Car theft is rampant.
What i haven't told you is most of the problems above are caused by illegal aliens who crossed the border from Mexico. They come here murder, rape, steal, and smuggle drugs. The state does nothing at all to stop them at the border. Thats because the governor here is Mexican. He even lets these criminals who came in to this country illegally get drivers license no questions asked.
If you decide to visit here know that the people here are delusional. If it has been done they did it here and did it better, everything here is newer, better, more original and more innovative than any where else in the country. If it was just invented they invented it 20 years ago. If there was a natural disaster they had one here and it was worse. A good example of this would be the news comparing a few houses getting flooded with a few inches of water during heavy rains to hurricane Katrina.

That's right, the problems are caused by the "illegals." Not us Native Americans. I find no problems among other Natives, that's why I like Gallup so much. The rest of the state -- well let's just say I agree with the above. I came here with a Math teaching license from the state of New York. Gallup proper is so far the only part of this whole messed-up state where I haven't been asked "what'd YOU come HERE for" even AFTER I told the person that I am a Math teacher. And Western New Mexico is part of the Peace Corps, Teach for America and Americorps "hard to staff" (to put it mildly) regions when it comes to Math and Science teachers, and I even come under "Indian Preference." And still the whopping morons ask me what I came here for, AFTER I tell them. I'm learning Sign Language because DEAF people seem to be more teach-able than hearing people here in New Mexico. When this happens (invariably whenever I meet someone new) I'm not introducing myself to deaf people. The deaf aren't this bad - the hearing people are this bat-ass stupid. Now, it's not everybody everywhere I go, just non-Native-Americans.
Based on my personal experiences New Mexico does indeed suck! The majority of people I have encountered in New Mexico have social skills of a goat.
I purchased property with the intention of building a house and living in a peaceful setting. What a pipe dream that was! I have a neighbor on one side of me who stole an acre of my property. He built a fence on my property while I continued to pay property taxes on the land. Prior to moving to the Land of Entrapment, I lived in California. During a visit to work on my property in Santa Fe, I discovered my neighbor’s deceitful act. I quickly took down the fence he erected on my property and kept all the fencing supplies being stored on my property. Who wouldn't enjoy living next door to a thief? This is a perfect example of the Wild West mentality minus any class, dignity, or respect for one’s neighbor.
People in Santa Fe act as if one needs a permit or permission to move into town from another state. Little do they know New Mexico remains a region of a free country! They seem oblivious to the fact that American citizens have a right to move in or out of any state they choose. I support U.S. citizens from other states moving in and changing laws from the current nepotism status quo.
Santa Fe’s law prohibits a property owner from selling his/her land for five years. This law serves to entrap a person in this horrible state.
The state of NM is a SEWER HOLE. I have only been here for a month, and I am ready to go. The people here in Santa Fe are the most rudest, selfish, inconsiderate, uneducated, slow, irresponsible and totally disorganized people I have ever encountered. The bus system here is a joke. The schedules are screwed up and not correct. The website for the transportation system is screwed up. I tried to place a bid on a state contract job only to find out it wasn't even listed on their website! I got an email back from someone w/the state telling me it had already been awarded when it was clearly open on the website. THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH THESE PEOPLE! A lot of people walking around are drunks and mental health patients. They have a glazed look in their eyes and are totally rude and anti-social to others. I swear it's like this state is a magnet for every reject of society that doesn't fit in anywhere else in America. STAY AWAY FROM THIS STATE AT ALL COSTS! You will be sorry if you decide to come to the state of NM.
I moved to south east NM 6 years ago.I am happy to say that I get to move back home in 40 days..yes I am counting.....this place is full of narrow minded ,rude,uneducated humans.... its dusty and ugly as hell out here.Zero resources to accomplish even a simple task like auto repair or sending a fax.lol once I cross the state line out of here i will NEVER come back.worst 6 years of my life....
Can I get an oh nooooo. F this place, food is complete ass, too hot, no trees. I do meet some nice people here sometimes. Have crossed some super stupid people here though. I live by a train and a racist black neighbor, I don't even want to walk out my driveway, I'm quitting all hobbies to make money to leave.
